Seems to me to be heavily weighted by hunting companies over fishing.

Rightly or wrongly, BHA (and their top leadership) has a reputation for being a liberal leaning organization. So there’s likely some companies that choose not to get in that game and support neutral organizations or ones that align with their values; it’s their money after all.

On a personal level, I think BHA does some good things on public land and access. However, I work in the mining and energy business, and BHA pretty much opposes any new project. I’m in no way saying we should mine and drill everywhere, but we’re all using metals and energy, so it needs to come from somewhere.

For what it matters, this does play a roll in my purchasing decisions. I will support companies that support groups that I am passionate about, whether it be BHA, TRCP, RMEF etc.
