Better Holster Solution for Glock 22 & S&W 329PD?

For the guys using a chest holster in a cross draw does it get in the way of your bowstring? May be looking for something for next year.

The nice thing about the guides choice is there is adjustment to where the gun is placed. I drew the bow a few times at home to make sure everything was ok... till you asked I forgot it was on me when i shot my elk. I did have a Uncle Mikes, but it felt like you had a maze of straps to put on.

Here is a pic with the holster and at full draw. Not even close to bow string.

The downside being the rubbing noise when wearing Kifaryu packs and the added weight. And it can mess with your optics.

Yup there are some draw backs. This is the most comfortable solution I found while still having protection quickly after dropping a pack but I am a greenhorn. This setup wouldn't work as well without the ultra lite bino harness. I can adjust the binos to ride higher on my chest so there is little interference with the revolver/optics. Blessings CC

I've used Dave's guide choice holsters exclusively for over ten years. After you wear them for a bit and get some break in the leather will soften and quiet right down. I wear mine with my binos with no problem. When doing so I adjust the harness so it rides more like a Doc Holliday holster, a little lower, and a little to the side. It works great. Give it a shot

Bianchi um84 r. Run it through where the pals webbing is in the hip belt. Clips right on and can be taken off easily to put on a belt. Very secure

The Bianchi um84r arrived today, my .44 barely fits in there but it snaps. I figure after a couple weeeks the holster will stretch a bit. Thanks for the assistance, this is gonna work just fine for both sidearms.

It will form fit it well. Left mine in it for a few days and it sorta shaped itself to the revolver.

Nope, I wear a HPG Kit Bag with a G20, GPS, Cell phone, calls, headlamp, compass, and fire starter in it and haven't had any issues. It clips into the loadlifters of your pack and you don't notice it's there. It works best with HPG or Kifaru packs, the Stone Glacier requires some additional adjustment as it will pull the pack into your upper back a little more.

Gotta photo?

I found that my Galco 'ankle holster' works great on my hip belt. It is a cross draw set up like yours but it is pretty secure and never had a problem with it. The one downfall with it is I had to remove the hip belt pouch to have the gun there instead.

Once the hip belt bouch is secured around your waist it isn't going to come off. Sorry I don't have a pic but if you like/want one I could probably get one for you.

I used a HPG Snubby with my Glock 29 this year for a week. I like it... a lot!
I always had my g-29 with me along with my tags, knife, light and loads for my muzzleloader.
very comfortable even with optics and a Kifaru Nomad on Duplex frame.
