Best way to stash water?

MSR Dromedary bags or a similar container. Cache them in a tree or build a cache pile on the ground. I find them a little easier to manage in a pack.

If using chlorinated city water they should be fine but it wouldn’t hurt to ensure you have a steripen or iodine available for the hunt.

Every job has it's perks. Ours gets stashed from the helicopter when we're gathering cattle with it. We use gallon jugs and cases of water. Some of it has been left out over 2 years but covered up. Rodents and bears have not bothered it YET. We left a couple of camelback bladders in a tree once the rodents chewed a hole in both.

If you are concerned of rodents or bears just take a can of cyanne pepper in and sprinkle a good bit on the jugs or bottles or in the dirt you cover it back up with. Nothing will want to mess with it.
