Best way to attach a bear tag on ear

Help me settle a debate, what’s the best way to attach a tag on the ear? Tape, zip tie, other?

If you aren't worried about the hole in the ear because your not keeping-the cape then a zip tie works well with the tag tucked in the ear. Otherwise I would rather out it though the inside of the nose to not make a visible hole in the ear.

I either zip tie through the mouth between teeth so it cannot slip, or wrap it on a wrist with tape.....the ear needs a hole to stay put.

Be careful about putting the tag in the mouth. I had a friend nearly get popped for improper display of a tag because he put it in the mouth and once rigor set in....you couldn't see it.
