I really enjoyed using my Holosun 507c attached to the Scalarworks Sync mount on my 870 this past season. The EOtech style reticle is perfect for lining up with a gobbler’s head/neck. Auto-brightness, 5 year battery life, and Trijicon RMR footprint are cherries on top
I mounted two Vortex Venoms on 20 gauges last season. One malfunctioned in about a week of hunting, which I heard was common and why I set up 2 guns. Vortex replaced it, but I don't fully trust them now. Red dots are the ticket for turkeys tho.
True...or a beadNo malfunctions with a self illuminated sight.
The Burris mount...the one that goes between the receiver and stock? I think those look awesome but I can't find one for my guns.I’ve used Burris ffiii and Vortex Venoms both 3 moa. I prefer the Vortex over the Burris. I prefer the Burris mount over the Sumtoy mount.
I’ve been using red dots for about 3 seasons and haven’t had any problems with them. I won’t have a turkey gun without one now.
I really think only you can answer that. I suggest narrowing down what features/style you want, customer service, then check $$ in those categories. If you're a 3 day a year turkey guy, $50 barska, if you hunt 8 states in 60 days....How much should I pay?

Only saying this as I don’t know who is reading. With today’s chokes and modern loads you need sights. Beads very often won’t cut it as we can’t zeroTrue...or a bead![]()
