Best truck binos for $300 or less, used?

I own alot of binoculars, do abton of digiscopeing..Some of my best that are in your sub 300 would be the Athlon Midas G2 Uhd 8x42, Bushnell EDX 8x42 are shockingly good, the Nikon Monarch 5 8x42, Leopold Bx2 8x42 Vortex Diamondback Hd 8x42. Non of those those disappoint you, oh I forgot the Hawke Endurance Ed 8x42 or Vanguard Endeavor Ed 11 8x42. Let us know what you get.
Good list. I would add the Sightron Blue Sky in 8x42 or 8x32. 32's are the huge steal.

I have those in 8x32- tack sharp. Are the 8x42 as good as their little brother?
What about a cheap pair of Nikon Monarch 5?
They're a very good clear binocular ,best eye relief in a 8x42. Little bit of narrow FOV. BUT for the $200 to $250 you can get them for they are some of the best.

I would go with the Vortex Viper 8.5x50 at Cameraland NY (VPR-855-VX). Just ordered a set for $299 on sale from $589. Don't think you'll be able to beat that deal very much.

Ended up buying a pair of used Nikon Monarch M5. Got them for $100, and glass is in good shape. Really happy with them for the money I spent.
I waiting to see if these monarch's would come up. I'm older now but still have a set in my truck and really like this older pentax dcf I think and I think it's a 9x36 or something and heavy and rubber coated which lives in my trailer and they have a surprising image and are tough bouncing around in that thing lol. Things you won't cry about if they get stolen.

You know some of my favorite binoculars to hunt with are my Pentax DCF HR11 8X42, big ,heavy ,bright binoculars. Over 30 oz. I thought maybe ABBE prisms because there so tall or long , but no there SP prisms. The fov is a little narrow but you can look through them for hours. Ive got alot of midrange binos. GPO's Ed , Leupold Proguide Bx4 8x42, but these just fit my hands and face. Bought them off Ebay used for just over A hundred bucks, so cheap. They just work. Yeah also 22mm eye relief. Focus wheel, eyecups are all smooth and solid. Your not going to get anything near as good as them from Amazon without spending alot of money. Pentax makes some good glass

I would say vipers BUT dude i keep my Zulus in the harness strung over my head rest pretty much 24/7 and for a truck bino that IS is HUGE…. So I have a hard time imagining going back…

Glad someone else knows what they are, the bird nerds likely put me on em back in day but glad I got em they may be 9x38’s but as you say longish, heavier, but smooth wheel, comfy and rubber coated. First thing I pull out when in camp. Be just as happy with em as truck bino. They seem hearty and well protected, mine get tossed in tubs in trailer with bunch of other crap like bug spray and 1lb propane bottles and are always filthy but still great for seeing what other ice fishing peeps are catching, sturgeon peeps on the river, fish cops, game, you name it they do the trick and for years and years. Kids figure em out quick and they are easy to get set quick once someone else has run em.

I have a pair of Leupold BX-3 Mojave (bought in 2017) and they are fine. Buddy bought a pair of BX-1 Mckenzie (2019) and it was easier to see bedded deer (knew where they were) with the McKenzie model ($150 at scheels).

My truck binos were the Vortex Diamondback 8X32HD. Just replaced them with the "Cabela's deal" Viper HD 10X42's for 299.00. I now use the Diamondbacks for dedicated Turkey hunting.

I don't own any Vortex rifle scopes, but these 2 serve me well especially for under 500 bucks for the pair. The little Diamondbacks are compact, light, surprisingly clear, and cheap! Some members here recommended the Rick Young harness and they keep em tight to my chest.
