Taking suggestions on lightweight tripods without heads for around $150. Will mostly be used for 15's and 10's.

There are a bunch of tripod threads if you go search the gear section. If guys chime in they're going to ask what you're using it for. Hiking in with it or using it from the truck? How big of optics do you need to hold(85mm spotter or 10x binos)? I'm using a promaster xc525 carbon tripod and benro s2 head. Best value and versatility I've found for what I use them for.

I have a sunpak carbon fiber tripod that I use for glassing, it's a cheapo but it's held up really good. The pistol head isn't great but the tripod has been killer.

I replaced the head with a Manfrotto Fluid Head but a smaller ball head would likely be a better option to keep things light.

I have a high dollar Gitzo I use for photography but it doesn't work nearly as well for glassing because the legs don't open up to a usable middle position to sit under for glassing

i have a Sirui 1204 with the VA5 head. i love it and it is very light. i run my 10x50 vortex binos and 85mm spotter.

Got this from camera land. It think cheaper than Amazon but it was on sale at the time. Lightweight and works well.

Depends on the height you want. At 2 lbs and 62", you can do some of your glassing standing up if you have an angled spotter. Take a mesh tennis ball bag with you to fill with something heavy like a rock and hang it from the bottom to steady it. It is more expensive than you listed. For cheaper, try Davis and Sanford on Amazon. I have one at 3 lbs that is even taller and I paid about $150

I've been eye'in the AOKA CMP163CL for a sit-down tripod. I prefer no center column for something this size and weight. It's also looks small enough to be a prone rifle tripod and weighs 350g for the legs. Price ~$80

My stand-up tripod is a feisol ct-3442 which is excellent, but 2.5lbs

Field optics research microlite carbon fiber. Extremely pleased for the money. Added an outdoorsmans pan head also. I believe better tripods are out there but for the money think it’d be hard to beat. Can find them for ~$160.

check out the new Man Frotto GO carbon $375 ish with great specs. the Outdoorsman legs are good as well.

Outdoorsman are very nice and well designed but not sure they are worth what they are asking. I have yhere medium tripod. it was given to me. I don’t think I would buy one new

We have plenty of good options in your price range. I am out today, in tomorrow from 9-6. The above Promaster is terrific, as well as some other options

I bought a Vanguard tripod a few years ago from sportsmans. I think it was $60 or so. It’s been solid and dragged all over everywhere.
