Can you send your scope back to kowa and have it serviced? Will they do lens replacements? Just curious you never hear anything about kowa customer service

Yes, you can send them in to have serviced. No, I've never sent mine in as I just bought it prior to this season and I'm carrying it right now.

IMO, It is a great statement that you never hear anything about a companies customer service. Some brands all you hear about is their customer service, which to me, says their products always need servicing.

I don't fully agree with this. In this day and age people drop them break them and demand instant fixes. We live in a age where customer service is at the forefront of purchase power you know as well as me it's reshaping the market.

People speak highly of customer service when they treat you right. I had a pair of Swarovski SLC 7x42 from the early 90's, I used them til they were dam near in pieces. Called up Swarovski in 2016, scheduled a service, shipped them out and the only cost to me was upgrading the lenses. When I got my binos back, they looked brand new and included 4 pages of parts that they replaced on the binos. That alone to me is a huge selling point.

Yes Kowa will service the scope. The 883 my friend had that I used was sent back to see if it had a problem after using it along with my S2. They cleaned it up and said they fixed something. My friend couldn’t see any difference and sold the scope. When I’m talking about service I’m talking about things like redoing the armor , replacing lenses and whatever else needed to bring well used optics back up to new standards. I know for a fact Swarovski will do that for a very reasonable charge. Zeiss will warranty their stuff but take their sweet time doing it with no communication. I know this personally twice and my friends three other times. I don’t buy Zeiss anymore and wanted to throw out there that you shouldn’t need to warranty a scope twice for the same problem and the three of your friends have the same issue with their scope. The shortest time to warranty any of the scopes was nine weeks and one friend’s scope was gone for fourteen weeks. Haven’t used Zeiss service.
