I’m looking for scope recommendations using a holdover for long range shots. I’m not a huge fan of dials but am very comfortable with using a holdover.

Ditch that mentality and learn to dial. If you are comfortable with holdovers for long range you havent shot long range trying hold overs.I’m looking for scope recommendations using a holdover for long range shots. I’m not a huge fan of dials but am very comfortable with using a holdover.
What do you mean, “if you are comfortable with holdovers for long range you haven’t shot long range trying hold overs.”Ditch that mentality and learn to dial. If you are comfortable with holdovers for long range you havent shot long range trying hold overs.
How far are you considering long range? Are you talking for hunting or just shooting steel?

"Holdovers" to me means holding the center if your reticle above your desired point of aim by estimating the amount of inches between your intended point of impact and your reticle. This is a terrible strategy that some people profess they can efficiently execute on live animals at distance. What do you mean, “if you are comfortable with holdovers for long range you haven’t shot long range trying hold overs.”
What’s your idea of long range and what’s your idea of long range with a hold over?
What’s long range with a dial?
Are you talking about using subtensions in a reticle to adjust your point of aim?I’m primarily talking about the 600-800 yard range. Have taken bucks and Antelope over 600 yards using a holdover over and have been very successful. I am looking for scopes that work well using the hold over and involves no dialing
That’s crazy…a dial is much easier than holding over and guessing. Get a leupold with the custom dial feature and you will be spot onI’m looking for scope recommendations using a holdover for long range shots. I’m not a huge fan of dials but am very comfortable with using a holdover.
