Best red dot for turkeys

I have limited experience but I watched a ton of videos on youtube of cheap dots that survived crazy abuse, hammers, smashed on the ground glass all busted and still working and hitting the target.

I bought a Cylee, it had the features I wanted and was only 120ish bucks, no issues after a couple seasons drug all across the country and hundreds of rounds.

Small dot, turkey heads are tiny 40 yards away. I use a 2 moa. I have a HS507C X2 which has a switchable reticle that I rarely use, might have been fine with a cheaper 407c.

Man, I swear I have gone through a ton trying to find the right one. Really liked the small open emitters initially. Until a morning dew, dirt, leaves, etc blocks the beam at a critical moment.

Then switched to the Holosun closed emitters. Twice now I have had those things loose zero in rough conditions. Mostly with me being an idiot when I hear a gobble down in some god-forsaken creek bottom in AZ/NM, and I wind up trying to scramble/slide down a goat trail to get in position. Not sure if any of those little red dots can survive a 3-4ft fall with an 8lb gun landing directly on top of it?

This year I have switched to a bonded picatinny rail with an Aimpoint T2 mounted on it. So far this is my favorite red dot and looks well built enough to handle a bruising should I again go on some poorly planned tumble in a moment of turkey fever.

I have several sig romeos I get off eBay for cheap. I’m sure they’re counterfeit but they have been good on my kids guns and a coyote shotgun. These are enclosed and they starburst fo my eyes (I have an astigmatism)

I run a vortex venom on my main turkey gun. It also starbursts. I was told a green dot would help. I got a green swamp fox and it starbursts just as bad. They’re still usable it just makes it a bit more annoying to aim.

So if anyone with an astigmatism has found a model that has a clear dot please let me know!
