Best rangefinder sub $400

In he market for a new range finder that can range out to 1k without issues. Realistically I dont think I will every take a shot at an animal farther than 600, but ranging farther distances to gauge distance is always nice. Looking to stay under $400 for the most reliable option I can get. Seems like everyone has a favorite and each brand has its own issues I plan to hunt in freezing temps as I know that can make a difference also.
