Best powder to try with short barreled 6.5 CM

I have a rifle with a 16.5" barrel chambered in 6.5 CM. Bought some Sierra 130gr. Game Changers. What powder(s) would work best with my set-up?

I’ve owned three rifles with 6.5x47L barrels at 16.5”. Each one shot Varget and 123gr bullets best. The 130hvld was the most accurate but I liked the velocity of the 123 better. You can also try 8208xbr. Goodluck

Varget would be my first try.

H4350 all day long! Varget can be used as well, but of the 5 rifles of the caliber I’ve loaded for, H4350 in the 42 grain region will work best.

Ya but in a short barrel you don’t get a complete burn with slower powders. H4350 was very accurate in my guns but velocity suffered and the muzzle flame was horrible

I use Varget with the Berger 130VLDs in my 17.5” tube 6.5 Creed. Tried H4350 but not nearly as good as the faster burn of Varget.

I recently bought a “cheap” Bergara 18” 6.5CM. I have been running H4350 and Berger 130’s with great results. I am going to work up some Varget and 123 loads as well.
