I went with a TLR-1 HL for my Glock 20. I went with the extra lumens for the simple fact that I would like to be able to see further if I need to draw on something.
Plus, it serves as an extra high power light source if navigating at night and you need to see more than your headlamp provides.
I have had no reliability issues with mine and would trust it on a duty weapon.
