Why on earth would you want a level on the gun that you can't see while behind the scope
This. The offset level cap from Hawkins placed on the front ring is awesome.

I just picked up an ARC mount. Is there anything to watch out for or worry about on the scope when using considerably higher torques?Yes, the ring cap torque for ARC rings is 55in-lbs.

Thanks for the clarification. I figured that would be the case but with the 55in-lbs torque spec when most others are half that, I became somewhat concerned that there may be more to it.No. The clamp force in the tube with ARC rings isn’t any more than with other rings.
I think this is because the clamping force exerted by several lower torqued screws equates to the same force exerted by the arc’s one screw? I could be wrongFormidilosus said:

Thanks for posting.I got my first area 419 scope mount… within a month I bought two more! I tend to buy once cry once when it come to rifles/scopes and I’ve used all the “best” stuff and I don’t have anything bad to say about other rings but these are the best in my opinion. These will provide more grip on the scope and put less stress on it at the same time… what more could you want?
