FNG here looking to find out what you're guys favorite source for a map to compliment your gps in the backcountry.

2nd mytopo. Ordered a couple from them before.

USGS online store is a good resource. You can download quad topo maps for free as PDF's then print them at home or have a local print shop do it for you.

National Geographic's Trail Illustrated maps are nice if you happen to be in an area their maps cover.

Another vote for mytopo.com. I really like how you can tailor each map specifically to your needs.

...and mytopo will put usable UTM grids on your maps. It's a crapshoot with the quads.

MyTopo rocks. You can shift the center of the map to your area so you're not stuck with the USGS quads.
Can get them printed on water-resistant paper and I believe there is an option to add hunt zone boundary.

Paid for a gaia membership and can print maps from there.
