Best outside the pant knee pads for hunting?

Hey everyone so I love wearing my Kuiu kutana pants in Maui for the hot weather, but they don't have knee pad inserts. Anyone recommend any knee pads that stay fit and are comfortable to wear on the outside of my pants to crawl hunt/walk in I can use?

I have had some arcteryx for a few years and they are nice.

Are the Kuiu Pro pants with the built in knee pads too hot? I have them and like them a lot. The pants have the side openings when it gets hot.

I have not tried very many external knee pads. The ones I did buy (Home depot pads for work) slide off after walking for a bit.

I'll recommend the dead bird knee pads also. Use them mostly during archery pronghorn.

I definitely notice the knee area being sweaty/ hot compared to the regular attack pants. The knee pad just doesn't breathe at all. I still like and wear both.
