I use saddle soap on my boots to clean them, then i use 3 different obenaufs products one after the other. The liqiud conditioner that has the dabber, then the beeswax stuff, then a few coats of the silicone waterproofing spray. Works pretty damn good. I have some rendered bear fat but I've never tried it on my boots, I've heard it works but not quite as well so I gave it to my mom and she uses it for pastry and pie crust. I havent tried mink oil either but i wonder how it compares to my method

Mink oil tends to allow the leather to stretch and deteriorate the thread used to sew the boots together from my early years of using it. You have tried everything, including Huberd's Boot Grease? Since I have started using it, which i came about by dumb luck, I have been totally impressed. YMMV
