Im tired of using my stiff ass mountain trekking boots for trail hikes. Basically, they are overkill. Looking for suggestions. Thanks

If it matters, im running hanwag gtx and hiking treks for elk/west hunts.

Check out the Mammut Trovat line of boots. I've had a couple pairs of boots by them and they have been fantastic for me. The fit is perfect and they are way more comfortable than all my stiff hunting boots.

I have a pair of Vasque Bitterroots nearing the end of their lives.
They've been great and still waterproof.
I'm a little over a year in on a pair of Zamberlan 960s.
I really like them however they are a bit stiffer than the Vasque.
I use them for trail hiking and really like the fit and they're very well made.
I paid under $200 on that discount web vendor.
