Obviously 6.5 Creedmoor is not the ideal long range hunting cartridge.
If yours is magazine fed, what magazines do you use for your short action 6.5 PRC?Keep in mind I have heard the short action may struggle to feed the 156 grains in the 6.5prc. I have a short action 6.5 prc but have never tried shooting anything heavier than 140gr so I can’t say if that is true or just internet rumors.
Looking into building either a 7SAUM or 300WSM. Any reservations for the 300WSM?A 300 WSM with a 180 gr. Nosler Accubond.
Why do you say you would switch?I really like my 7 SAUM, if I was going to change it would be a 6.5 SAUM.
I guess it was poorly worded, I wouldn’t trade my 7 for a 6.5 SAUM but my next barrel will be a 6.5 SAUM. Only because I am interested in trying it and the lower recoil is always nice. Why do you say you would switch?
My wife’s uncle has a 6.5 SAUM and he said he wishes he did the 7 SAUM instead.
My son's 300 WSM sure has been a great rifle for him. I like this chambering.Looking into building either a 7SAUM or 300WSM. Any reservations for the 300WSM?
I love the 280AI. I had a Winchester Model 70 rebarreled in 280AI. Yept it's long but it's also great.Have you checked out the 280AI? I think I'm fixin to order one
disregard that, I just noticed you said short action
He likes the 7mm projectiles better than 6.5 is the main thing. He had other reasonings but i don't recall all his reasons.I guess it was poorly worded, I wouldn’t trade my 7 for a 6.5 SAUM but my next barrel will be a 6.5 SAUM. Why does he wish he went 7 SAUM?
What length barrel and does he run a suppressor? My son's 300 WSM sure has been a great rifle for him. I like this chambering.
