I have a maven S.1a spotter. What would be the best lightweight compact set up for backcountry that would handle this spotter? Any suggestions are appreciated.

You can use the Sirui T024SKVA5 with that, no problem. It folds to about 15", is carbon Fiber, light weight and has the best fluid head IMO in its class.

We have this on special for forum members. Instead of $299.90, it would be $254.92 and then you get 15% back from Sirui.

Damn I think I want to get one. Just ordered a Kowa 554. I ordered my Swarvo 10x42 SLC's from you guys and I would say great service.

Does the fluid head come with an adapter or screw to hold binos or would that be something you have to order extra?

Could you mount a laid of Bino’s and a spotter to this tripod? Looks like a great option for such a lightweight setup. Also could you get a pig/hog saddle to soemthing like this? I’ve been looking for something I could use with a rifle yet turn around and use my bino and spotter. I know might not be an option lol.

Yes, anything in the Sirui N series. For the rest of the month the N series, any tripod or kit in the N series are all 25% off and then the 15% back

The American made Outdoorsmans “Standard Tripod” with Jim White 2.0 head is a premium set-up and you wouldn’t be sending money to China. You can use all Arca standard plates and even shoot off of it.

The very best tripods are by Really Right Stuff. They are pricey, but the absolute best and of course made in 🇺🇸
The capacity of these tripods blows away all of the chinese made tripods, the quality difference is apparent. An Outdoorsman head or a ball head are great on these tripods. The “one” series is the lightest.

I went with a “two” series with the anvil head so I can glass/shoot From the same tripod. I made a modification to remove the bottom two leg sections for backpacking and am at 3.5# for the tripod and head combo. The RRS heads are rated in foot pounds of torque, not just capacity.
Look at the resale value of premium American made tripods and equipment, they really hold their value.

For the absolute lightest tripod, Kramer Designs makes the Granite Peak. I have been using one of these for years. I added an Outdoorsmans quick release panner to my KDC tripod, it’s great when you don’t want the weight. Kramer Designs are also made in USA 🇺🇸

Received my Sirui T024 w/head today from CAMERALAND. I'm really impressed. I just got it out of the box and have not played with it yet but it seems very well built. Joel @CAMERALAND was very professional and helpful. Now, I need to get a bino adaptor of some sort for the Leupold BX-4s I got this week off a warranty claim (top notch CS). And for the record neither of these 2 companies gave or paid me to make these statements.

Let me know what you come up with for mounting the BX-4s into this set up. My every day carry binos are BX-4s and don’t have a threaded stud. I’d like to be able to glass with them occasionally from the tripod when I don’t take the Meoptas out.

The Leupold BX-4 does have a 1/4-20 threaded stud adapter hole. Just twist off the Leupold logo cap on the front of the objective side hinge. I have 2 pairs of BX-4's and both have universal Outdoorsman's studs on them for use with my Outdoorsman's setups.

You’re a hero! I didn’t even know these binos had that option. Just checked mine and, yup, there it is! Thanks so much.

I'm probably going to order the Vortex Optics Binocular Tripod adaptor. I like how it has a thumb screw to attach to bino'.
