Icon Pro 1850. I love this pack. Simple but with a nice balance of pocket design, size and function. IMO one of the best designed packs out there. Run it without its rigid frame, just the suspension, if you don't need it to haul.
I use a nomad two with an empty camp bag between the batwings. Perfect for carrying your gesr and if you tag out you have the camp bag fo pack it out. I added the Sherman pocket this year instead of the grab it for a little more space.
I guess it depends on what your day looks like but i think the perfect daypack for me would be the Urban Zippy, followed by the X-ray with some pouches to make it less tactical in an urban setting
I use my Kifaru waist belt with a custom fanny pack. This allows me to pack in for a while with a full size pack on a Duplex frame to set up a base camp. Then I'll day hunt around the base camp with my fanny pack. Or, I can just day hunt out of the truck with it.
This is for bowhunting in the early season so I probably carry less gear/clothes than guys that hunt later seasons.
I just ran a kifaru quarter panel and guide lid on a Duplex Lite. Medium belt pouch on belt. Room for hydration, puffy, kill kit, snacks, emergency kit, and bugle tube. Extra clothing layers can be tucked into the quarter panel. Cheap(er), light(er), and effective.
