I have some nice cans for hunting, but I really want to buy a can that is "good enough" for 6ARC and 223 Bolt guns for range use.

Factors:
1) I don't care about back pressure
2) It should be set up for direct thread
3) I don't care about recoil reduction or muzzle flash.
4) I don't need full auto rating
5) I do care, a lot, about sound reduction. I am not buying a K sized can.
6) I think 15oz should be doable

Something like my SilencerCo Evo (since discontinued) at $500 or better. Does that suppressor exists?

I’ve been looking for basically the same thing. The otter creek labs plutonium checks a lot of boxes. Also yhm turbo (223 only) and resonator (30 cal) are decent, cheaper options. The AB suppressors A-10 looks good as well.

AB A-10 would be my suggestion. It’s my only economy can and it holds up well against my more expensive ones.

I would have no issue with an Otter creek as well but I don’t have personal experience with them.

Im happy with my harvester evo. It wasn't part of the recall. With the silencer co 5/8x24 titanium direct thread adapter it weights just under 12 oz on my scale. It sounds good on a 20 inch 6 creedmoor. Mainly use it on a 20 inch 223 now.

I got mine on closeout. If I had known how much I would like it, I would have bought 2 more.

AB-A10 is easy to recommend.
The 556 is bored for 6mm.
The 7.62 adds more baffles and internal volume.
Both are stainless and handle heat/mirage very well. They are lighter and shorter than you would expect.

I’m very happy with mine.

I enjoy my OCL Polonium both the full size and the K. The .22 cal version has a 6mm bore.

The Whisper Pickle also gives similar performance to the Polonium. I heard one on the range and it was also nice to be around. They are local to me so there’s quite a few around.

Rex Silentium MG7 is a great can at a great price. 15 ish oz with a direct thread mount. 6 baffles. I have several of them and besides weight I love mine.

Recently went through the same exercise and ordered the DD Enticer S from Capitol Armory for $515 plus tax and shipping. I think another member mentioned they can be found a little cheaper from Bauer Precision, but CA had it in stock and I've read great things so went that route. I don't have it yet, but will be eager to compare it to my Nomad Ti XC which is a bit lighter but about double the cost.

The Dilligent Wolfhunter is the can you want. It's a bit cheaper than some of the higher end cans but don't let that fool you. It's the perfect can for 223 and 6mm stuff when you don't care about the backpressure. Truly, it's the best 6mm can I've used and one of my favorites out of any I've tried. It's that good.
