Trying to decipher which synthetic hooded jacket to get. I'd looked at and seen the First Lite and some of the Sitka models out there. Have never put on the Kifaru LPP or the Arcteryx Atom AR. I've been pleased with every piece of Arcteryx I've ever used for climbing and hunting. If anyone out there has used these two and can compare and give me any preferences for either, I'd appreciate it. The Kifaru sounds like it'd be better for colder weather and weighs a few ounces more based on mfg. specs. If there's something else in that type of category I should look at, please let me know. I've scratched the Kuiu Kenai off the list already.

I have the kifaru lpp and the arcteryx leaf LT. I prefer the fit of the arcteryx, this is my early season go to puffy. The hood is phenomenal compared to the LPP. The LPP is much warmer and a bit more bulky. Each has its place

Love my Kuiu kenia jacket. wear it in town when its 50 and windy and in the field down to about 0 degrees with a light + mid weight merino layer under it. good hood as well.

I've read the reviews, thanks. I wish the ArcTeryx was thrown into the comparison shootouts, but it's tough and expensive to add every option out there. I might have to get both the Kifaru and Arcteryx to see for myself. I can easily return the Arcteryx if it's not the one I want.

I have the Sitka Kelvin Down Hoody. Fit is great to go over other clothes and is stupid warm. Pockets are insulated which is a nice feature. Hood is very comfortable. Jacket is extremely warm though. I can't wear if I'm moving around a lot.

I have a Arc nuclei fl hoody and really like it, its not on par warmth wise to the others you listed but they also offer an AR version with more insulation and that might be the ticket for you.

Kelvin is not entirely synthetic though
