Your at the top of the mountain. Maybe it snowed or the rain is starting to fall. Wind is blowing and your buttoning up for a glassing session.

What gloves are you pulling out?

Original KUIU SD mittens without the trigger finger might even have a hand warmer in them already.

I just tested out a bunch of mitts in -30° hunting predators in the Brooks Range - Kuiu down and synthetic mitts and the First Lite glomitts. I’m a big Kuiu fan and they actually loaned me some of my gear to test on that hunt but I gotta be honest... those First Lite Glomitts were, hands down, the absolute winner!

OR Alti Mitts. I've tried A LOT as my hands get very cold very fast (to the point I lose feeling and have a hard time moving my fingers). Alti Mitts are the best I've found for the scenario you mention. I've tried multiple hunting brands and outdoor brands.

OR Alti Mitts is the best I've owned so far and I own quite a few.

I really like the FL Grizzly mitts. If it's crazy cold, just put a hand warmer in the mit and it's money! Plus it's more durable than the down mitts

May be an unpopular opinion but I use Carhartt mittens and they've served me really well. Coldest I've hit is about 5 degrees though, so I can't speak to anything beyond that. Could be a good option to consider that's not too expensive.
