Best factory load for Christensen ridgeline .300 WM

Just bought a Christensen Ridgeline 300 WM. Instead of going out and trying a bunch of different rounds, I just wanted to see if anyone had any recommendation on what the gun likes to shoot? I would like to stay with a 180 grain bullet.

I have seen a couple reviews and it seems like Barnes vor-tx and Nosler Trophy Game accubond are good.

I was set on Barnes, but now have read about Nosler, and believe that's what I am going to go with. But I have never shot either.

Nothing wrong with either of those. The nosler ammo is what I'd try first and see how your rifles likes it. If it's not up to your standards try something else.

When I first bought my (Cooper Excalibur w/26" barrel) .300 win mag last year, I went out and bought factory:

Federal Blue & Grey Box 180gr Speer Hot-Cor
Hornady Superformance 180gr Interbond
Hornady Superformance 180gr SST
Barnes 180 gr TTSX
Nosler 180gr Accubond
Nosler 200 gr Accubond

Out of these, the Federals (cheapest of the bunch) grouped the tightest.

From there I went to Choice Ammunition 168gr Barnes TTSX and they grouped a little tighter.

(Now I am actually shooting handloads that a buddy of mine makes for me)

I know you said 180s but if I were you I would try the ABM loaded with 215s.

I did read somewhere the ABM 215 grain shoots great. But I am a hunter and mainly hunting deer, and would just love to have the ability to shoot 500 yards if I wanted(rarely if ever will be the case). 215 seems too overkill for whitetail, 180 even may be, but have just read 180 shoots better than 165 in a 300. Thanks

Too late now but if I wanted to shoot 180s I would have bought a 7mm.
