Best compact spotter? Leupold, Vortex, Celestron Hummingbird?

Wind was blowing making her a little shakey but that was about 1400yds...when I get a chance to go for a drive I'll take some pictures, pretty overcast today.

My opinion only, having had the gold ring 50 and the razor 50 My choice was the razor by a long shot
It was a few years ago when we looked through them, might have got a dud vortex. Who knows. The price was right on the compact Leupold. Took it out turkey hunting today.

I was considering getting a Nikon ED50, but just read that it has terrible eye relief which isn't good for wearing glasses. Reading this post has me reconsidering sticking with my 12X50 binos another year and saving for a good 65M spotter.

You want to use it in crappy light, that’s where you’ll find the short comings, in bright light most look good.

Old thread but I couldn’t help comment. I’ve had the gold ring 15-30 for many years and haven’t been gentle w it. My buddy got the Razor 11-33 a couple years ago and the Leupold beat it noticeably, especially in low light. Then last year his Razor failed, like almost every other piece of vortex equipment equipment I know of, and he had to send it in for replacement. Great warentees are only so good if you’re without your scope for most of hunting season AND the Leupold ran about $250 cheaper.
