What's the most amount of deer y'all have shot in a single season? Here in Georgia we get 10 doe and 2 buck tags, but there are also a ton of different opportunities that you can kill on state tags that don't go towards your limit.

This year I'm trying harder to not eat as much store bought meat, with a newborn I don't have any out of state trips planned, but I should be able to fill the freezer with plenty of hogs and deer this year as well as being able to donate a few deer.

This year we have an elk, two antelope, two bear and six deer. We also caught 90 kokanee salmon a few weeks ago. This will feed four adults all year, with the less desirable tidbits feeding our dog for a good part of the year as well.

Veggies from the garden and eggs from a friend keeps our grocery bills low. Most important, it just feels good to eat clean. My body is very happy with me.

Killed 14 whitetails last season. Most places in AL we can kill a doe almost every day of season. Season runs from Oct 15th - Feb 10th. Needed to take out alot more does but tired of fooling with them.

8 or 9 best i remember. Limit in MS is 3-4 bucks and 3-10 does a season, depending on location (CWD zones allow more). Normally give a few away. Easily can eat ~5 a year between me and wife. Do all the processing myself now days. I have access to one ~500 acre property that needs a minimum of ~10 does killed a year and i'm the only one willing to shoot them. Took 6 does off that property last year and killed a couple bucks, only 1 on that property.

Got a nice 7 pt couple weeks back. Been a great season.

Shot 4 does in one day some years back and 5 deer in a season once. These days, 1 seems to be enough, we dont eat it as much as we used to. Never know, that might change.

I think I killed 10 one year, hunting 3 states. With 2 young kids I don’t have time to kill or process that many anymore. But I still usually get 4 or 5 and spread them out over the season. 4 or 5 is about all we need and have some to give away. But we usually buy a whole hog or half a beef and 20 or so chickens our friends raise. Don’t buy much meat from the store.

6 last year, I have the tags and time to go 7/7 this year and with the buck tag notched it's basically just a waiting game for gun season to get the rest of the does.

20 +/- Williamsburg County South Carolina. At that time we could shoot 2 bucks a day with no season limit, had 50 ADQP ( antlerless deer quota program) tags and there were only 5 of us hunting 2500 prime acres. The farmer was pissed if we didn’t fill all of our doe tags. That doesn’t include what we shot over the summer on crop damage tags. I did that for about 10 years, 2005-2015, until the property changed hands and the leases doubled. Now I shoot 4-6 a year. Usually 2-3 bucks and 3-4 does.

North of a dozen last year between me and my 8yo. I clean and cube the meat. Leave it in large vac bags and get the grinder out a couple times per year.

The most I have ever shot in one year is 3. But these are does that dress 140-150 lbs and bucks that dress over 200 lbs.

It takes a lot less deer to feed a family through the winter here than the parts of the country where a big buck is 120 on the hoof.

We’ve done some meat canning and it is good that way. Never considered canning stew. Know what i wanna do now.

Just made a double batch of chilli - maybe should can that too.
