I’m looking for personal experiences with the different brands. Please let me know what brand you’ve used, and if you’re happy with it.
Thanks

The AMP is nice, especially after using flame annealers. I've had mine a few years and am happy. It looks like the new one from ADG will be even better once it proves itself. It comes with a feeder and I don't think it requires different pilots for different cartridges. Those can add up fast if you reload for different guns. Also check out Quick Anneal that Mountain Forged sells. I think both are better values than the AMP right now.

I have the AGS and am very happy with it. I have used it for 17 hornet to 300 prc and it has worked well. The only negative I have found is you have to pay close attention that the there is room for the next case to drop freely.

Is it the best? I don't know. But I just got in on the recent group buy here for the AGS 3.0. Thanks @hereinaz ! I haven't received it yet, so can't comment from experience with it right now. But if hundreds of internet reviews are any indication, it should be a great unit. And it cost about 1000 bucks less than the induction units. I honestly don't think I'll notice a thousand dollar difference in the end result. I'll post back after I receive the unit and spend some time with it.

I had an AGS. It did a good job. My issue is I hated having to sit and reload brass one at a time.

I moved on to a burstfire unit that I can toss about 200 in and let it roll. It’s done a good job.

That would be my issue with the AMP too, would hate doing it one at a time.

I can set the burstfire and not have to touch it for 45 minutes. I turn the lights off and just watch them barley glow to make sure I’m getting where I want.

Bulk loading is not an issue with me since I'll only be processing 50-100 cases at one time. However, the AGS can actually load 8-9 at a time. Which is plenty while I'm also decapping or trimming on the same bench. I've also seen where guys modify their AGS for a bulk feeder.

Lots of good units out there that ultimately do the same thing.

Simply sitting brass up on a cookie sheet and hitting the necks with a propane torch, or spinning the case with a drill if you’re really fancy, works well enough for 1/2 MOA 10 shot groups. Based on that I don’t see how a gizmo can be considered essential.

I’ve often asked benchrest shooters what their increased accuracy is when switching from a simple torch to a gizmo, I still haven’t heard of any accuracy improvement, but it is easier and frees up time to spend on things that do matter.

If someone enjoys kitchen gadgets, truck dashes with lots of gauges and switches, and a TV remote with 200 buttons, then yes, by all means get an annealer to set next to the progressive press, auto trickler scale, dual tumblers, wiz bang trimmer, etc.

Benchsource and amp mark 2 here but if you dont have any id hold out for the adg arc. Regardless stay with induction. Torches are time consuming and not exactly repeatable but yield good results with set up time.good luck

I think you can get very repeatable results with a flame annealer. My issue was never knowing if I was doing it the correct amount of time. I tried the glow method and Templaq but was never really happy. If you're super picky, induction is the only way to go.

I have run an AMP for 4-5 years and really like it. And even though its one at a time, I each case takes literally a couple of seconds. So its a pretty quick process to anneal.

The new model coming from ADG does sound VERY nice though.

I sprung for the AMP, I like it over torch annealing. Super easy to set and very consistent. No regrets here.
