Best Binocular Harness

Ended up getting a Stone Glacier bino pack to test against my marsupial. Only thing I don't like is how the RF pocket attaches, it's just kind of lazy in my opinion and doesn't feel nearly as secure as the marsupial system. That said I've settled on the SG for western backpack hunts due to superior weather resistance and it's weight or lack there of and my marsupial with the Kifaru hydration pack for all my whitetail hunting needs. I like both harnesses loads more than my RY and AGC harnesses.

Started with FHF. Still have it and keep my backup pair in it.

Using Marsupial enclosed. Just sold a small magnet and bought a nonmagnet medium.

Loved the first one. Not so sure about this one. The magnets never really bugged me but the straps on the nonmagnet version really do. I've only had it for a couple days but hope to find someone to trade with. It doesn't seem to get in the way of the pouches, though.

Wife has AGC I tried. Not for me. Bulky and opens the wrong direction,.

Ya, the straps on the lid is what I mean. They are a potential source of noise, and kind of clumsy for me. Once open they are fine. I still have a big hunt at the end of December, maybe I will like them more than I think.

For rifle it makes no difference. Archery is another story.

I just ordered a Marsupial, so no experience with it yet, but I'm anxious to try it out.

I had a similar harness as the RY harness. I have used it for years. Until one day climbing a hill and bam objectives did a face plant into the snow. It is why now want to use full enclosed harness, to protect the investment. I am leaning toward the OV and the Marsupial. Seems like the added pockets for rangfinder sits a little higher on the marsupial though. Which one sits higher on the chest? I wish my AGC sat higher. it will help keep out of the way from the saddle bridge..

I’ve owned both and currently run the marsupial. The build quality seems way better on the marsupial and I felt the magnets on the OV were too weak. Definitely get the buckle deletes if you get a marsupial

Kuiu Pro is nice but the RF attachment can snag in thick brush.

The AGC is “bulky” but it just works. Don’t have to worry about snags like the Kuiu. Front pouch is perfect for holding the rangefinder. Side pockets are perfect for holding a spare magazine or two or other odds and ends.

As much as I've tried to make the trendier harness idea work ... Am I the only one who thinks a box-type chest harness is a clunky PITA?

Note: I do own an original KUIU that sits my box of remorse. Like it enough to keep it, anyway.

My favorite 'bino harness' is a $20 Rick Young harness with a $24 Alpine Innovations bino slicker (see pic) ... Has everything a chest box harness can offer except less cost, more comfortable, zero weight, zero limitations, zero noise, plus always free from the cover system... all the stuff a hunter wants.

The Slicker version I use is independent of the RY. It's a protective cover with a single flex strap.

There's another Slicker version that includes a harness.
