Anyone have a recommendation for something to carry on backcountry hunts? I'm sometimes in areas where water is scarce. Gonna pack something this year to get rid of some stink.

Yup this ☝️. You can buy some fancy wipes but I dont see the reason. Grab a few and wipe the balls, pits, and ass and then your back off to the races.

I use the travel pack Cottonelle flushable wipes to clean up after relieving myself. I use travel pack Cetaphil wipes or baby wipes for sensitive areas, and I use WetOnes type disinfecting wipes for cleaning parts getting rank or blood and such after breaking down an animal.
Alcohol or Benzalkonium chloride type depending what your skin will put up with.

The travel pack sizes seem to be just right for a hunting trip.

I would suggest not getting the flushable wipes. I got some Walmart brand, unscented, flushable wipes, and they don’t hold up to really scrubbing. They’re probably fine for a quick wipe of the caboose, but they fall apart if you’re trying to get the most out of them and clean your whole body.

I think a regular non-flushable wipe would hold up better.

I alternate between Dude Wipes and Combat Body Wipes. Both unscented of course. But we also always carry a solar bag shower with us too if we're spiked out and have access to water. Nothing beats an actual shower if you can get it.

I watch my Walmart hunting department. When they do their annual clearance of hunting gear I get the dead down wind wipes/towels. The towels are huge when unfolded and work well to clean off. I get them by the 6 pack for a buck or so?

Pampers aqua pure are the best feeling wipes on the market imo

I’ve had kids that’s ass needs wiped for the last 6 years and nothing is as good. I tried a friends dude wipes at elk camp last year and they aren’t better either

I used the Dude Wipes and won't any more. They left me with fabric fuzz all over my face. My partner had the Dead Downwind wipes and they were a larger size and a tougher material that wiped and scrubbed without leaving any fuzz. I'll be using those in the future.Screenshot_20260204_093403_Samsung Internet.jpg

These are great. According to Amazon I last purchased them in 2019 and I still have an open pack in a gallon zip-loc bag that are as moist and fresh as the day I opened them. They are full washcloth sized and one is plenty for the whole body for a quick clean up. Durable enough that they don't rip and moist enough that it doesn't feel dried out if you do a head-to-toe bath.
