I've used probably 7 brands and styles of product here. I personally think for daily hygiene, any of the biodegradable (frequently bamboo) wipes with aloe are a good start for "pits and privates" wipedowns. Without questioning what anyone else does, I personally pack them out rather than burying these despite their claims to be biodegradable. They are, but it takes forever and I just don't feel right doing it. I pack them out. But they tend to be softer and more comfortable to use, IMO, and if one ever blew away in the wind or something it wouldn't keep me up at night.
I'm also a fan of the compressed-tablet style wipes, but I don't use the mentos-sized ones that are common. I use a larger size that opens up to 8x11 or so. These things are great everywhere you don't want an aloe wipe: cleaning glasses and lenses, wiping your hands while/after field-dressing, cleaning mud off your rifle, toilet paper, etc. Unlike daily-hygiene wipes these come dry so you need water, but we always have (lots of) that anyway, and that means they weigh much less, can't grow mold, etc.
