Best bang for your buck scope bubble levels?

you can find replacement cylinder bubble levels on amazon. size 5x12mm is what you want. mine from UM had a spec of something in it and it was faster to replace it via amazon than UM shipping (although they did). needle nose tweezers ended up working best to remove the c-clip.

Good to know. I also forgot that my UM level tends to hang or lag. Not my favorite functioning level.

I have a couple of these. I like how light and thin they are. Have not really beat them up to test durability, though.
I have one of these that i like as well

I also like the rail mounted levels, though they stick out a little. i do not trust the folding ones, seems to me like you can bend it slightly at the joint and throw you out of level.

Interesting that no one's mentioned them, but the Accuracy 1st levels are (surprise surprise) very accurate and also easy to read with your face still in the scope and both eyes open. FWIW they do offer a MIL/LEO discount if you contact them directly.

Does any company post their torque specs for the scope mounted levels? Too tight can be a problem and even slightly too loose I can see it easily slipping out of level

Looking at pics guys post it seems like alot more are not running a level at all? Is there a reason for this? Not necessary at normal hunting distances?
Not really necessary inside 400 or so yards. Some people will consistently get closer to good vertical alignment than others but in mountain/side hill terrain it’s difficult to be consistent and if you have multiple shooters using the same rifle you’ll quickly find you need a level unless you enjoy arguing with your kids about their crosshairs not being level every 30 seconds between shots.

I got by without levels until my kids started ahooting. YMMV.

Also - I much prefer levels mounted forward/high/left. The kind on top of a scope ring seem useless to me. The cheaper ones on Amazon seem fine thus far, if mounted properly.

The UM Tikka level works well and is not that expensive
Yes.

Mounted just behind the front ring, I can check it (slightly out of focus thanks to mild presbyopia) while using the scope. A momentary shift of attention allows me to confirm I am plumb without losing the target.

I have a couple Arken bubbles, I have a couple vortex bubbles, I have UM Tikka Level, and a UM level that attaches to their rings.

Honestly the Arken level is my favorite design. Little goofy to lock down and hold its angle. But so far they have been solid and don’t move. It’s the only product they sell I can recommend lol.

I used to have a level that wasn’t flat, it was like a semi circle and had a little ball inside it. It was my favorite for a while until it stopped working.
