Best Ballistics App Today?

What do you like about AE?
I think a few years ago it was definitely the best. Not long ago, many of the apps didn’t have a simple way to true data, Ballistic AE does.

It also had the most useable HUD type screen a few years ago. It has charts like most programs do, but then you can also open a HUD mode where you have a quick scroll wheel for distance, wind speed and direction, and a pretty easy to access atmospherics tab on the side. Dope then gets displayed in large numbers. Pretty fast and probably second only to the Lock Screen dope chart method that some folks have mentioned here in recent years. You can also tailor all this to match mil or MOA down to hundredths, or have it round to nearest .1 mil or nearest .25 MOA, so you know exactly what to dial and don’t have to make rounding up or down decisions.

I think other apps do most of the same stuff now, but I haven’t had a reason to explore newer options. Applied Ballistics might be one I would look into to, but Ballistic AE will still get you some accurate data to go off, in a user friendly format.

I like the Revic app, but for some reason it doesn't track correctly with my AB solutions from my rangefinder when I move to different elevations/atmospheric conditions. Started a thread on it but didn't really get anything nailed down. I spent enough time this last year truing my AB profile up with my load that I fully trust it, just bugs me I can't get Revic to match perfectly as a backup.
Glad to troubleshoot with you. It's usually input nomenclature variations. You can call customer service for 1:1 at 307-296-7300

I have the AB on my phone that I have been using with a cheap weather meter from Amazon and manual data from my Leica 2800-B. It works to an extent, but looking to get an integrated solution. Based on ballistics apps would I be better off with a Leica CRF Max with AB Elite or a Revic BR4 with the revic app? Will be pairing with a new Kestrel 5700 for winds. I like the AB Elite and it seems pretty accurate. Any recommendations on the best pairing for an updated system?

We don't pair to a device for wind to the BR4. For hunting, I've never felt that was practical. If you need that, better go leica direction.

I would be interested to hear feedback on the use of integrated wind measurement in hunting environment. Step by step....

Mine will be a mix of hunting and NRL shooting. Just trying to make sure to buy once and get the best system
