Best all around Caliber??

If you had to pick a caliber.........what would you choose? 308, 7mm-08, 7mmPRC, 30-06, 300wsm?............. Just have the itch to buy a new rifle.

I’ve seen very few people answering the question correctly.

Perhaps the question was presented wrong in the first place.

A clip? What is he buying an M1? I dont trust people that willingly choose a magazine over a hinged floorplate on a hunting rifle. No one should. They have a place, but ew brother ew...

magazines are just more reliable. You see….. it’s not so much a tikka thing, it’s more of a less drama and fuss thing, and tikkas seem to fit the bill in every category.

Since you only mentioned deer or bigger, .308 is the caliber to grab next.
My next 30 caliber will likely be a WSM with a 20” tube.
Seekins most likely, hopefully just a new barrel and bolt face for my 6CR…

(And since I have rifles in all of your "potential" rifle options, they are all good choices!)

I agree 100%. Just make sure it’s in a rifle that has more magazine space than 3.34” if you intend to handload.

If I had to have 1 rifle for everything it'd probably be a 25 creed.

I have a 6 creed and a 6.5 PRC but I’m having a really hard time not building a badass 25 creed and having it as my do all gun.

They ask about calibre and then rattle off a bunch of cartridges... the number of shooters that don't differentiate the two is disappointing but something I have learned to accept and work around. If you can't change it, don't let it get to you.

Kinda like revolvers are pistols but not all pistols are revolvers. Or the old clip vs magazine
