So many different opinions and everyone recommends a different brand. Feel like I should just set my self on one at that price point and run with it

Thats pretty much what I did. Just buy one and be done with it and don't look back and once you pull the trigger DO NOT continue to search any threads or watch YouTube videos, etc., otherwise you'll start second-guessing yourself!

Seems like the c1s have eye cup issues and feel cheap, but great glass.
Think I’m down to the vipers and bx4

And no matter what you do don't ever look through alpha glass.

I just dropped $315 on a used pair of Zeiss Terra ED. They are 8x32. I was impressed enough with them, that I sold my monarch 7s, which BTW are amazing glass in that $500 range new.
I also own a pair of viper 10x and I enjoy them as well. I sold off a pair of swarvoski 8x20 and decided to keep the Zeiss. To me the Zeiss is hard to beat, though they ain’t conquest.
I looked at some bx-3 and I’ll admit they actually surprised me at their clarity. But not as good as the Zeiss or the viper or the monarch 7s.

There are the $400 (currently on sale) Leupold BX-4's, and then there are the ~$650 used Meopta Meostars, Nikon HG's and Conquest HD's.

Everything in-between is pointless IMO

I’ll be that guy.... At $500 you’re so close to used meostar/euros... sell some crap and if you’re patient I’ve seen 10x42 in the $650 range. Some of the best glass made and you’ll never need to upgrade.

Put these spectacles on your eyes and you won’t regret it. If I won a pair or Swaros, I’d sell them and keep my Monarchs.

I’ve had the monarch 5s for a couple of years and while they are pretty decent glass for the money, the very narrow field of view is getting old (288’ at 1,000’). I’ve been thinking hard about upgrading to the BX-4pro guides myself, they have 38’ more field of view at a 1,000 yards.

I would get the C1's and be done with it. A friend of mine bought some c1's last year before our wyoming trip. They are super nice and super clear.

For what its worth my hunting partner has Steiner Predators and I have Nikon Monarch 5. I like mine better than his and he paid double or maybe a little more than double what I paid. I want to say that I picked mine up for about $250 last year.

If you like using warranties get the Vortex. My buddies have various optics from them and they have all been sent in for repair. Which is cool and all but what a pain in the ass.

I have no recommendation beside that.

Think I’m gunna go with the maven c1s 10x42. Even though I feel they look cheap and can’t get over the way they look. Maybe it’s just the pictures.

Try the demo C1s and if you don't like them you can return them for a refund minus shipping costs. Let us know how it goes, as I'm in the same boat trying to choose between the C1's and Bx-4s. Maybe I'll just order me some demos too...
