Best 4-man floorless for $$ and weight?

Looking at this floorless stuff as an option to bring along as a gear/cook/skinning/emergency shelter. I already carry a 12’ Noah tarp andnthis would replace that. The black diamond megamid light so far is the cheapest lightest thing i have found. What else is out there that isn’t outrageous (less than $300) and less than 3lbs?

I was going to get a megamid this week but the one downside is there are no tieouts except at bottom. I just ordered a LUXE 3 man. They have a 6 man as well that is not overly big

The luxe octo is a 6 man and the outer is only 3 pounds. It will have a stove jack soon as well. Good price in my opinion. I'm just waiting for the SJ option. Should be next week or two I believe

we have carried a mega mid knock off for years for a cook tent. I cant remember the brand but it is the same size as a mega mid and about half price. may have had it since about 91 or so. actually picked up a second after the first seemed to work out. we have put 2 guys in it on occasion.

usually it is for gear storage and cooking during bad weather. it works.

for sleeping in it we sewed a 12 inch sod flap to the bottom. this allows you to raise it a few inches and still stop the wind under it. [ the shot pole is the worst thing about it. we never carried a pole for it -just cut one.

Cutting poles wouldn’t be an option for me, I don’t usually have any wood or brush that tall where I hunt. I like the look of the luxe and it’s extra set of tie outs.
