I was getting great results with h1000. But now have extended my range and am now using the hammer hunters.
Another Barnes vote. I've been using 168gr TTSX in my 300wsm for years for elk and it has always worked great. With the monometals, you can download a bullet weight for better speed and more expansion according to Barnes.
180-200 gr being the “normal” range of bullets for big game hunting with 300 WM, you can go down to the 165 gr TTSX and get slightly better expansion on the solids.
Depending upon barrel length and twist, the 220 gr Partition could be a player.
