Plus 1 for solid copper, avoid the 110 vmax on pigs at those velocities from my experience

What's your experience with the 110 VMax that would cause you to avoid them? I'm curious about your experience with them. I've never killed anything with them, but have been thinking about giving them a try if/when I'm out with a BO again.

I’ve had good luck with the 110 Barnes.

If Barnes’ loads are unavailable, others load the same bullet. Check out Gorilla ammo for instance.

I’ve had two occasions where they’ve blown up on the outside of hogs. I have killed a deer with them, and tons of varmints. After seeing them blow up too fast on pig shoulders (I probably hit a bit far forward) I use them only on thin skinned animals.
1 pig I recovered by shooting it several days later with my 308 and got a good look at the wound. Another one is still running around making baby pigs - actually sure it’s dead but its grandbaby piglets are making more pigs
