I've hammocked a bunch. It is my preffered 3-season shelter back east, down to about 20F. I've owned winter quilt set from Jacks R' Better and used it in single digits, worked fine using their down hood. I sold the winter quilt set and decided I'd rather be on the ground, and, if hunting, in a heated shelter in those temps. It can be done though, Shug Emery's how-to videos on winter hammocking are both informative and entertaining.
