Wondering how they preform on deer? I live in Arkansas. We dont have big deer. I will also use it on hogs and coyotes some. I a Browning Xbolt 280AI 1@8 26-inch LR rifle.

They'll do fine, but I prefer the VLD Hunt myself. What velocity will you be pushing them? I've had more consistent results on closer shots with the ELD X.

Designed for 15" of penetration, expansion started in the first 2-3". Not an exiting type bullet. Worked great on my last elk. 146 yards broadside, behind shoulder. Lungs gone, drt. No meat damage on either shoulder.

I have used VLD H 140 and 168 gr. In my 280 rem and 7mm mag. Wanted to try the Classic Hunter. Bergers data says 3148 fps with a 150gr. Arkansas whitetail deer is very big. I thought about shooting Accubond LR. But decided to go back to Berger. Plus I have 7 boxes of the 150gr Classic Hunter bullets. Be the first bullet in my new 280AI.

Sounds like a good bullet too use. I have 7 boxes of the 150gr. And 4 boxes of the 168gr bullets. Both in Berger 7mm Classic Hunter bullets.
