Bergara B14 Trigger Issue

So something on my B14 Hunter has caught my attention. There used to be a loose screw in this hole but I thought not much of it. It crossed my mind today so I went to go inspect it and found that it is now gone. Is this screw important? It's part of the trigger assembly but I got no clue what it does.

I'll contact CS in hopes they can send a new screw or something. Will it operate fine without it for the time being?

It should be fine , you just can’t adjust the weight of the trigger until you get another screw. I would verify with Bergara to be on the safe side.
