I think the mountain is now a 2.0. Mine is an earlier model in 280ai which is no longer available. My approach is in 25-06. I have around $1125 in it. I really wish they were swapped, but such is life. Both guns are sweet and handle well. For a 300wm or prc, you might prefer something with a bit more weight to it. Or a brake or suppressor. The wilderness carbon that was announced yesterday would be pretty sweet.
That new carbon does look pretty sweet.
I was looking right after the mountain 2.0 came out and couldn't find anything under $1700 for one so went a different route. Nice deal you got on that Approach.
The B-14 squared crest looks like a nice setup. Checks a lot of boxes. Nice stock, threaded barrel with brake, lighter fluted barrel, aics mag, and for a 300wm or prc just about the right weight for recoil not to be bad.

Yep. They dropped 3-4 new offerings this week. I personally may try to get hmr carbon for a range rifle.

My brother picked up the wilderness terrain in 300 WM back around 9/1/2022. Shoots 180gr TTSX very well. Serious elk medicine. I also have owned a B14 in the past. That was a few years ago, it was a great shooter out of the box. I only sold it to help fund a custom build. For what it's worth, I was impressed with the action and stock on his. It looked and felt better than the one I had. Not that I disliked the fit and finish, this just seems better.

I pick up the wilderness terrain!!! I’m trying to take the bolt apart? Not have any luck? The rifle is 3 years never been shot but it has some surface rust and I can see some surface rust on the bolt!
It’ll twist off counter clockwise but I think you have to push the sear back to get started.

Dang, that is very disappointing… now that you mention it, I did send an email on the divide as well to see if it was going to be offered in any other chambering than what is advertised online and I didn’t get a response either…
I picked up the phone last week. Customer service told me they’re waiting on bottom metal.

Slightly different model but my HMR wilderness has been great, little heavy but not a small caliber either being 300PRC so the weight actually makes it nice to shoot just not carry all day. I’d be happy to buy another Bergara. On a side note I also purchased the premier bolt separately and it head spaced exactly the way the original wilderness bolt did so their tolerances are held fairly tight on their production line.

I bought a Ridge in 7Rem Mag a few years ago and it’s been a good gun though not something I often hunt with due to the weight, makes a great “bean field” style rifle though. I also got a Hunter in 6.5CM that is also a shooter and actually outshoots the Ridge. I’d recommend either one though based on my experience with them.
