Bell & Carlson

I’ve had a lot of B&C stocks over the years and I really like them. No, they aren’t as nice as McMillan but they are also half the price and you can get one much faster.

move always thought they were an excellent upgrade for rifles that need an upgrade from the basic plastic stocks.

Has anyone used the Bell & Carlson after market stock? I am thinking about a spider Webb version for my Browning 300 WSM.
Do you know the weight difference between the bell and Carlson and the factory stock? I have a Browning rifle I want to change the stock on also. Thanks

I put one on model 70. Fit was good out of the box. I did bed the action which was way easier than I thought. Shoots 1.25" off a single front bag at 215yards (range limited). I did have to add a stock pack to get my eye alignment correct. I really enjoy shooting the rifle.

I'm thinking about one for my m70 .270.
Was it an easy fit?

I wish B&C would offer a lighter weight option for Howa rifles like they do for the Rem 700. Id be first in line to buy at least two of them.

Here's the latest. I think I already mentioned it, but they take a bit of sanding and I use JB Weld to bed them. Very happy after 5 or 6.

Have had quite a few over the years. I’d say the easiest upgrade, but much prefer McMillan. Recent quality was rough and shitty though. The old Ti stocks were decent. The best feeling one they’ve got is the Mauser 98. Why the hell they don’t checker the others is beyond me.

No, I don't know the weight difference but suspect that the B&C will be a little heavier than the factory stock.

Okay. I wasn’t expecting that answer. It is definitely a upgrade in quality. Thank you.

My Abolt in 325 WSM. I bought it used a couple months with the B&C stock already installed. Stock does not appear to have been bedded or modified. It is probably the most accurate rifle I own. First 3 round group I fired with it with nosler factory ammo with 200gr accubonds went right at .30. I fell in love right there. Several sub .5 groups since. I probably have 2 boxes of ammo through it so far.

I had an Ultralight Medalist on my T3 300WSM before rebarreling. I like them for the price. Im not a fan of the Tikka factory stock, the B&C was jsut right without adding a lot of weight. No impact on accuracy either way.

I put one on a T3 and one on an A7. I like them, but they're certainly heavier and thicker than factory. I don't like that they're heavier, but I've always liked the thickness of them. Mine were both drop-in, but a buddy did have to sand his on a Browning A-bolt.

I put one on my cz model 03 in 270 wsm. It was meant for a Winchester model 70 but didn't take much to get it to work. It's the stock that comes on a coyote lite. I really like it

New bell and Carlson arrived today for my Tikka. Ordered because they had 15% off Black Friday. Everything I read indicated they would be about 34 oz. Took it out of box and put on scale and I get 26.0 oz. I have a Cabela’s Superlite so take off the bottom plastic and put that on the scale and it’s 28.7 oz. Hmmm what am I missing. Both measured without bottom plastic but guess I shouldn’t complain.

Only minor issue is the aluminum receiver block is not very deep so hard to engage in the receiver. Got it on and hope to shoot this weekend. I like the feel way better than the camo Cabela’s version.
