I saw someones post only talking about 3 part of clothing, But anyone have any recommendations for someone on a tight budget buying their first set of hunting clothing. Sorry if there is already a post about this.

What kind of hunting do you do? Active or non active. There are a lot of sales for many places right now. Im sure there will be more after the season as well. Remember you really don't need camo either. I have been slowly transitioning to solid colors on all my new purchases. I will say though, the outdoor performance magellan pants at Walmart are a very good value for a lighter pant(around $30). I personally have 4 pairs, 2 for hunting and 2 for personal use. If you pair them with a good base layer bottom as well you can hunt down to 40-50 staying non active pending your cold tolerance. If you have a Sam's Club or Costco, check out their clothing as well. They have some pretty nice mid layer jackets/pullover that are light weight and cheap. They will also have some pants, fleece lined, etc. Feel free to message me. I don't mind helping you out one bit.

I was always under the impression that you wanted to blend in with your surroundings, is that not true? Im still verry new to this community and it won’t let me message you sorry. Any and all info will be help full thanks again

Plan on doing some rifle black tail hunting maybe archery if I can find a decent set up for the right price

Deer hunting? Gun hunting? Bow hunting?

Not sure what you mean by 3 part of clothing. I don’t get too concerned with camo or fancy clothing but do like to be comfortable. Lots of simple options out there just not sure what you’re looking for.

This might not sit well with a lot of people but I'll give my two cents regardless. In my experience, camo choice/preference doesn't matter much. I've hunted for waterfowl and big game and the majority of my hunting has been done in camo I bought on closeout. I love this time of year because I can go to academy or other stores and buy stuff people don't see as valuable. My favorite is a fleece lined Magellan jacket I bought for $14 last January. I get what is on sale, what is fits temps for the season and then what I like.

Let us know what you are doing and we can point you in the right direction. My larger amount of hunting clothing is largely based on a range of different hunts and conditions.

We also like nice stuff here. 20 years ago when I actually needed the meat from deer as food I generally wore a Gander Mountain brand semi water resistant pair of pants that was around $75, jacket I owned for other reasons, and a cheap orange vest. My all in hunting specific gear budget outside the gun was a couple hundred dollars and the gun was a cheap used 270 (and a wolf muzzle loader). I see lots of deer hunters wearing fleet farm special blaze jackets and bibs, I retired mine and moved on but had a solid decade on those as well.

I have nicer stuff now but really my activly used gear is not all that many things and didnt cost a bunch, end of season and off season sales can be great this time of year.

By 3 parts, I'm thinking you mean base layer, mid layer, and outer layer? For base layer, nothing cotton. If you sweat from walking to your stand or exerting yourself you will freeze in wet cotton. Mid layer, again forget cotton, try a synthetic material that will breathe and allow perspiration to escape-NO COTTON for previous reason. Lots of hunters just use blue jeans, but if they get wet they will soak the heat from your body and you will get cold (they are cotton). Outer layer could be a breathable water resistant jacket or vest in case of rain or walking through wet brush. Everything wool (base, mid, and outer) works well and is cheap. It retains your heat better when wet than cotton.
Nothing needs to be camo unless you want it to. In most cases when big game hunting you will have to wear orange outer wear (vest) anyway so camo won't help much. Scent control and hunting the wind is much more important than your clothing color. You could be invisible but if the game smells you, they are gone. Remain still and downwind and game will get really close until you move or they smell you.

My first 50 or so game animals were taken while wearing budget Wal Mart hunting clothing. I still wear the cheap stuff at times and rarely spend full price for any of the name brand stuff. Figure out what is comfortable and works for you.

Buy quality clothes you can use year round.

I hunt in kuhl silncrs and I wear them to work. My puffies are arcteryx and OR, I wear them around when I’m not hunting as well.

Camo is overrated, and I can’t help but think f-word every time I see a dude wearing a kuiu puffy at a nice restaurant.

I think working too many trade shows has ruined me.

You dont need "hunting clothing" you just need clothes that will keep you warm and dry. Hit up an Eddie Bauer outlet. Go to REI and see what they have on sale. Remember, your just hiking with a weapon.
