Beaverhead zone ID, grizz?

Any grizz issues in the southern parts of the zone? According to IDF&G website, it wasn't specifically listed as a known grizzly area.

Hunted there last 2 years no signs of grizzlies. There is a sighting or two each year by locals, but pretty unlikely to run into one. I still carry bear spray as we have seen black bears. I-15 is a pretty good dividing line of grizzly to non-grizzly country.

Agree with the above, but more and more sightings west of I15. Not enough to call it “grizzly“ country but enough that you should be smart about camping etc.

I talked with a biologist when researching various units and he said there have been multiple sightings of grizzlys throughout the zone, he said they seem to pass through the country and its been hard for them to track the population density of grizz. But yes they are there. He recommended going for zones farther west /north if I wanted to avoid any encounters.
