I use a carplay dongle, plugged into the data port on my 2020 f150. Phone connects over wifi created by the dongle. OnX works seamlessly, no need to have the app open on the phone.

Ah, I see.... My 2018 F150 you had to plug in. My 2023 is wireless, much nicer.

Yeeeuup, I'm on sync 3, 4 is wireless. Pretty nice having onx on the big screen when driving while out hunting.

Ive got Antelope / Elk trip coming up in Wy and decided I was going to drive my 2009 Mercury Mariner 4 cyl 4x4 (150k miles)

Anyway I really wanted Apple car play so I grabbed up a wireless system from Amazon and it works great.

** The Mariner gets 26 mpgs and has more room to sleep in it than my F250

On antelope hunt I will be camping out in the Mariner…

Mariner cost me 4k a few yrs ago and ive put about 18k miles on it… been a great little vehicle.

I ordered an Amazon special and it arrived today. I’m planning on using it on my ATV for my upcoming elk hunt. Plugged it into the 12v outlet on the quad and paired it with my phone, works great. I have OnX on CarPlay and my maps will help out. The plastic mounting bracket wouldn’t last 5 minutes so I’ve got a metal bracket coming that I can attach to either the handlebars or front rack.

Ordered this one. No backup camera but good reviews and only $40. We’ll see.

That's genius! I see they make waterproof ones for motorcycles.

Ordered a 7" screen waterproof motorcycle model for my quad. That will be great instead of having to stop and pull out my phone all the time. First world problems! Lol

I love using onx and google maps 3d on my giant screen in my tundra. Everything is Bluetooth and nothing needs plugged in. Awesome seeing everything that big.

Rokslide strikes my wallet again. Ordered one for my truck. Had occasionally been looking at the in dash replacement for the screen I have but that’s a lot of messing around. Looking forward to trying this. I believe Gaia should work with this as well based on my experience with a rental car.
