6mm cm bear bullet

The only bear I’ve ever killed was through both shoulders with a 270 130 accubond at 260 yards, it broke both shoulders but was still alive the next morning. Definitely going to avoid that far forward from here on out.

Had the same thing happen with a 300wm and a 215 Berger. Thru the shoulders, it got into a thick swamp immediately, right before dark, and found it the next morning, still barely alive.
Arrow thru the middle that looked like a gut shot, bear ran flat out and then collapsed only 80-100 yards away. Dead in maybe 6 seconds total...
Same results on another with 215 thru the middle( I actually learned something for once) except it didn't run at all, it just rolled downhill a bit. Stone dead.

I would shoot the107, 116 TMK or 103 eldx,108,109 eldm and aim middle of middle. Bears r pretty soft and easy to kill if you don't shoot too far forward.

This 108/109 eldm is easily found loaded.

I only shoot TTSX and LRX bullets nowadays. No bears yet but critters from 50 lb up to 800 and have had textbook results on all.

I like Barnes too, I shoot the 55 grain version in a 223 to save fur on Fox and still get expansion.

For now I’d like to stick with factory just for the simplicity of it and a lot of factory ammo shoots really well. Yeah I tend to overdo it in the thinking department pretty hard

Id just grab some 108 eldm then if your gun likes them. Which most shoot that bullet pretty well. Id use it without a single worry

I definitely think I’ll do that, especially where I’m going to cut my barrel down, 26 inches is a little long after you add a suppressor on the end.

Hello everyone, I’m going be baiting bears this fall and the biggest gun I own is a 6mm creedmoor. I’m going to set up shots for 100-200 yards at the far end, what bullet would you go with? It’s got a 26in barrel so velocity will still be pretty high at those ranges so I was thinking something like an accubond or a hornady cx in the superformance.

Using factory ammo, I would get a box of 103 ELDX and 108 ELDM, and use whichever your rifle likes best. Put either in the middle of the middle of a bear, and it's gonna die. Chopping that 26" brush catcher down would be my first step.

I was hoping to put a 116 tmk through a bear via 6 creed but I suck at finding bears. 108 eldm would be a good choice as well

Ive had great luck with 108 elite hunters out of my 6cm on deer. Im sure it'd work fine here too. I prefer them over the ELDMs for some extra neck length before disrupting. For this use case, id investigate the 100gr partitions. Ive never used them but have had great luck with other partitions.

You dont need the BC and it's the best of both worlds as far as bullet construction goes. It should be nasty hitting at such a high speed.
