Does anyone have a recent experience working with Bearpaw Outfitters in the Idaho Panhandle?

Looking to book with them on a semi-guided hunt and was looking for any recent reviews and/or words of advice.

I’ve never personally hunted with him but he owns the hunt washington website and a lot of people on that site have hunted with him. Stand up guy and from what I hear and runs a good operation. I wouldn’t hesitate booking with him!

I appreciate, I’ll take a look at his hunt Washington website. I’ve talked to him and got the same feeling. Was hoping to talk to someone that has used him in that specific area of Idaho, but I bet I’ll find additional info on the hunt Washington site.

Thanks again!

I didn't know he was guiding in the Panhandle now. I personally wouldn't pay for a guided hunt in the panhandle, but if you are set on it, he would be someone I would trust to actually try and get you on elk and not just take you camping for a week.

Thanks DAO! My group has been talking to bearpaw about semi-guided or just drop camps for us. I’m not sure if he offers fully guided hunts.

We are first timers and trying to figure it all out. Is the recommendation not to use a guide due to poor elk quality in that region?

Thanks again!

He does have fully guided hunts. The panhandle is just a tough place to hunt in general (terrain, people, the jungle) and it seems to get worse every year. With a guide like him he should be able to help. Its my backyard and I have killed many elk around here, but there are other places my time would be better invested these days than the panhandle.
