Bear Invading Camp/Tent Likelihood

Very low risk in my opinion. In BC I can only think of one instance where a couple of guys got roughed up (grizzly) while they were tent bound about 9 years ago. But I can say from personal experience when grizzlies sniffed my tent in Alaska on two different occasions (5 years apart) that nothing makes you feel smaller and more insignificant! But lucky for me both times they left without sampling the contents.

I hunted brown bears in Alaska (Peninsula) with a guide that cooked bacon (at least twice per day) in a Cabelas 12'x12' tent. He also had a bear fence around the tent that he checked by grabbing it. To say he was fearless and tough is an understatement....RIP Roy Roth. He also took Blacktails into his tent when hunting on Kodiak Island or so he told me...that way the bears wouldn't get them. YMMV and enjoy camping in bear country!

Love it when people use statistics that apply to inner city populations. LOL
Oh damn, that Camry just ripped my arm off in my sleep! Before you can be worried about bears...you have to be where the bears are.
When I park my truck and pitch my camp I sprinkle a crushed up chlorine (pool) tablet around...keeps everything from bears to mice away. I have a bear fence for specific areas.
