Bear hunting over gut piles

Shot my elk. We sat and waited for 2 hours to ensure the elk was dead. Tracked and located the elk 150 yards from where we were waiting. When we got there a black bear was on it. The bear ate the balls and tail off of my elk, and was going in through the rear. This wasnt just the situation for me, bears were on dead elk quick last year in Colorado for all the guys in and around our camp. I saw more bears than elk last year.
